Nexcom Navy Exchange

Nexcom Navy Exchange enhances the Navy quality of life by providing quality goods and services at an exceptional value, supporting military members and their families, and investing in events and programs that benefit and honor those who serve. Harbor Home has been a staple of the Nexcom private label brands since 1997. The bedding and bath line was in need of a brand refresh, causing confusion amongst consumers with its good, better, best product categories, requiring clarity to better distinguish the segments and hierarchy of each division.

Solution

We worked with Nexcom to elevate the brand story of Harbor Home, from simply a name to a brand experience, while connecting the different product lines to the customer persona journey. In keeping the integrity of the elements that had established brand recognition, we refined the logo and fleshed out the product categories and naming conventions of each line to simplify the customer experience. Finally, we developed a hierarchy using photography and color to clearly define each line and completed the in-store navigation system with point of purchase, shelf tags, packaging, and product labels.
