Brooks Institute

Brooks Institute had a strong legacy of educating the industry’s best visual and artistic individuals in photography and filmmaking. After consolidating some of its remote campus locations, Brooks Institute was in need of an update website, in both user experience and content, in order to keep up with the expectations of their target audience. The institution was struggling to reach their highly creative market through a dark, outdated, and “unfriendly” digital platform, which didn’t adequately communicate or showcase their active, and immersive student learning experience. 

Solution

It was important to first develop a messaging platform and content strategy in which to tell the Brooks story. The website focused on four key areas, including the hands-on creative experience, faculty mentorship, global opportunity, and the legacy of pioneers who were the Brooks alumni. The website featured a full-screen video that told this story through motion and imagery, and the site design focused on bright colors, dynamic gallery & content modules, and opportunities to display Brooks student and faculty work to inspire young prospects.
